OUR FEATURED WINERY FROM AUSTRIA:

WEINGUT JOSEF FRITZ

Region: Wagram, Donauland

AUSTRIAN wines are winning rave reviews from wine critics, yet the wines are still relatively unknown to most US wine consumers. The Joseph Fritz Winery is a family-owned winery that has been in the Fritz family for five generations; their philosophy is to combine the traditional, established values of a family winery with a modern understanding of wine. They are located on the northern bank of the Danube river, in the Wagram subregion, which has established itself as a premier growing area. Legendary Wine Company is proud to be the first-ever US importer of this award-winning winery.

The wine bears a bit of resemblance to Pinot noir, often with blackberry strawberry, raspberry, and cherry flavors, and a soft mouth-feel.
